We’ve wrapped up our Spring Ma’wa trips and are well underway with a few exciting adventures this summer. In May, we’ve led trips to Arizona, Lake Tahoe, and Shenandoah National Park. We’ve completed not one but TWO group treks on the Inca Trail in Peru, and are getting ready for our largest trip yet in July. We’re taking 28 women to Banff National Park in a few short weeks inshAllah! We also want to take a minute to acknowledge current events - from domestic immigration actions here in the US to the ongoing genocide in Palestine and Israel’s continued aggression towards Palestine, Iran, and other countries in the region - and how they may be weighing heavily on members of our community. We want you to know that we are here to support you, in whatever capacity you may need. Ma’wa experiences exist to create safe spaces for our community to come together and process current events. We’re here to help you feel grounded in our faith, values, and solidarity.
