Ma'wa Collective Newsletter #4

Let's catch up!

Assalamu Alaikum community,

It’s been a while since our last update, we hope everyone had a wonderful Ramadan 🌙 and Eid al Fitr 🎊.

Since we’ve last checked in, Ma’wa Collective has been busy! Check out the Trip Recaps section for highlights of the 7 trips organized over the last 3 months, including our first international trek in Nepal to Everest Base Camp ⛰️.

Our digital community also continues to grow - we just reached 20,000 followers on Instagram 🥳. If you aren’t already following us there, Instagram is where we share timely updates about upcoming trips and highlight current trips with photos and reels (our reels have gone viral and reached Muslim women all across the world too!) 🤯

We’re already in full swing for our summer programming with trips planned in Santa Barbara 🌊, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore 🚣‍♀️, and our first trip in the Pacific Northwest with our Leavenworth Weekend Trip 🌲. This community is incredible and all three of these trips are already sold out (with our Santa Barbara trip being so popular that it sold out in just one hour 😮), but you’re always welcome to join the waitlist in case a spot opens up, and we have much more planned for you all this summer ☀️

And for our international girlies, we’ll be in Peru in October leading two groups through the Inca Trail Trek and the Salkantay Trek. Check out our website for more information!

Ma’wa Spotlights

REI Embark Program: Our Founder Nadah Feteih was accepted into the highly competitive REI Embark program, a 3-month virtual program designed to support new and aspiring entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities to turn early-stage ideas into viable businesses. Nadah gained tools, resources, and network connections to continue to develop Ma’wa Collective as a movement and as an organization.

Sweet July Publication: In case you missed it, Ma’wa Collective landed its first media publication 📰 with this article in Sweet July magazine! We are so grateful for this incredible feature, where our story, vision, and commitment to justice were showcased. Be sure to check it out!

Amazon Storefront: We’ve made it easier for our members to get access to all our recommendations for the best equipment, gear, and modest outdoor clothing. Check out our Amazon Store Front as you’re packing for your next nature trip 🧳
