A participant on our recent group trip in the Smoky Mountains wrote a heartfelt poem on her experience, please read below ⬇️

Where the Mountains Hold Silence

It felt like a lifetime that stillness before the dawn, With coffee in our hands when the Smoky Mountains exhaled mist like a prayer whispered into the morning. Each step, softened by pine and promise, carried the echo of hearts that hoped.

We walked together, not behind, not ahead, but beside, like the stillness between birdcalls, like the warmth of sunlight filtered through old trees. We felt our spirit in every breeze, in every hush that wrapped us like the shawl of a grandmother’s embrace.

There, where silence becomes sacred, we learned what peace tastes like not in words or grand gestures, but in the simple, steady rhythm of breathing the same mountain air with those who carry love as their compass.

Supporters with cheerful hearts meant, you were never alone. Our laughter laced the trails, Our presence wove joy into the roots, proof that we brought our hearts with us open, brave, full of grace.

You gentle souls! didn’t just walk But healed with every footfall, you gave with every glance.

And me me, who stood beside you all in silence I knew in those sacred, smoky spaces that we were sisters, not by blood, but by choice and soul, stitched together by shared silence and the mountains that listened.

I am up and writing something and wanted to write to you all May Allah love you and show you kindness in every way possible May you all prosper in this life and the next. May you find peace wherever you go in this world. Ameen
